Amy is a seasoned clinician with over 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples. She has maintained a private practice since 2009 and brings extensive training across multiple evidence-based and depth-oriented treatment modalities. Her clinical work is informed by direct experience in acute trauma and high-acuity crisis settings, lending a grounded, real-world perspective to her practice.
Trauma & First Responder Specialty
Amy holds certification as a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) and carries specialized clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of simple and complex PTSD, including the delivery of Prolonged Exposure therapy. Her practice maintains a dedicated focus on serving Law Enforcement, Military Personnel, Veterans, First Responders, and their family members — populations for whom occupational culture, duty-related trauma, and stigma around help-seeking require a clinician with specific training and contextual competence. She is experienced in crisis intervention, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), and psychological debriefing following workplace violence, traumatic incidents, and other high-stress operational events.
Couples & Relationship Recovery
Amy provides specialized therapy for couples experiencing relational distress, including recovery from infidelity, erosion of emotional and physical intimacy, and acute relationship crisis. She is trained in a model that is structured, solution-focused intervention model with an established track record of stabilizing and restoring committed partnerships. Her couples work is grounded in the position that relationship dissolution is not an inevitable outcome, and that targeted clinical intervention can produce meaningful and lasting change even in high-conflict or ambivalent presentations.

Erin has over a decade of experience helping adults work through challenges that don't have a quick fix — chronic illness adjustment, caregiver burnout, grief, and the compounding stress of major life change. Her career spans hospital-based and home care settings, which gave her a ground-level understanding of how physical health, relationships, finances, and emotional wellbeing collide and influence one another. She works with young adults through older adults, with focused training and interest in relationship concerns, grief and loss, and stress management.
Where many people wait until they are overwhelmed to ask for help, Erin specializes in meeting clients at exactly that point — and helping them sort through it systematically. She listens closely, asks the right questions, and helps people identify what is actually driving their stress or stuck patterns before building a clear, realistic path forward. Her style is steady and unhurried, which tends to appeal to people who have been carrying a lot on their own and need a space that is structured but not rushed. Erin works best with people who are ready to do the work and want a therapist who will be honest, consistent, and genuinely invested in their progress.

Courtney has over a decade of experience helping people navigate some of life's most demanding situations. Her background in medical social work at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics trained her to work quickly and effectively with people in crisis — identifying unhelpful thought patterns, reframing overwhelming situations, and helping people focus on what is actually within their control.
In her work with adults, Courtney specializes in the stretch of life where everything seems to hit at once — kids, marriage, a career, and aging parents, all competing for your time and energy. She also works with people struggling to manage their emotional health in a world full of noise, unrealistic expectations, and the constant pressure of social media. Her approach is practical and goal-oriented. She helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and gives them concrete tools to manage anxiety, stress, depression, grief, and life transitions. Sessions are focused on where you want to go and what it will actually take to get there. Courtney's style is direct and no-nonsense, with a genuine investment in helping people make real, lasting change.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience helping adults work through mental health challenges in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She earned her degree from the University of Iowa School of Social Work and joined Mason Associates in 2024. Over the years, she has developed a strong focus on supporting older adults.
She works with people dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship concerns. Much of her work centers on the unique challenges that can come later in life, including changes in health, independence, and identity. She has experience helping individuals and families navigate Parkinson’s disease, end of life transitions, and other major life adjustments.
Sarah also supports people who are looking back on their lives and thinking about things like regrets, relationships, or questions about meaning and legacy. She helps clients talk through these experiences in a way that brings understanding and a sense of peace, rather than feeling stuck.
Her approach combines practical tools from cognitive behavioral therapy with a person-centered style that respects each individual’s values, history, and goals. Sessions are structured when needed, but always shaped around what matters most to the person she is working with.
Sarah is known for being calm, steady, and easy to talk to. She creates a space where people can take their time, feel heard, and work through complex concerns at their own pace
